Start The Celebrations, PV Sindhu Just Got Us Another Medal In Badminton. Here’s The Final Score
It has been a great day for India in the Olympics. Earlier in the day Sakshi Malik clenched a bronze medal in Women’s freestyle wrestling in the 58 Kgs division.
And now, our badminton star PV Sindhu has fetched us another medal by winning the semi-final against Japan’s Nozomi Okuhara.
Sindhu defeated Nozomi Okuhara with a final score of 21-19 and 21-10. This guarantees her at least a Silver medal in Women’s Badminton.
Sindhu will now face Carolina Marin of Spain in the Finals which will take place on Friday, 7.30 pm.
Earlier, there was news of the Nozomi Okuhara’s resurfaced injury right before the match but the Japanese player showed immense grit and determination to pull through the match.
But unfortunately for her, Sindhu was just too good for any opponent today.
With a final score of 21-19 and 21-10, Sindhu has guaranteed at least a Silver medal for India.
We, at Being Indian, are immensely proud of PV Sindhu.
