Zimbabwe’s cricket board announced on Tuesday that they will host India India for three one-day internationals and three Twenty20 matches in June.
The six matches will be played over 12 days, starting with the first ODI on June 11 and the last T20 on June 22.
All the matches are scheduled to be played at Harare Sports Club with the ODIs scheduled to be played between June 11-15 and the Twenty20s between June 18-22.
“After finalising all the formalities with the Board of Control for Cricket in India, we are pleased to announce the incoming tour scheduled for this June,” Zimbabwe Cricket managing director Wilfred Mukondiwa said in a statement.
India has been visited Zimbabwe thrice since 2010, including last year. In 2015, India played
3 ODIs and 2 T20Is all at the Harare Sports Club. The second string side led by Ajinkya Rahane blanked the home team by a 3-0 margin in the ODIs while the two match T20 series ended all square with 1-1.
Just like the previous tours, Indian selectors are expected to send a young side to Zimbabwe this time too. The series will be a good opportunity for the team management to test the bench strength.
The details about fixtures and squads have not been announced yet.
